Kynzvart Golf Club
The Kynvart Golf Club is a new golf resort located in the beautiful area of the historical chateau park founded between 1821-1831 by chancellor Metternich in the foothills of Slavkovský les. The resort is set in the historically and naturally outstanding area near to Karlovy Vary and with the classic chateau in the background. The 18-hole course uses of the natural terrain and there are many water hazards. The resort also offers a driving range with high quality training facilities, pitching and putting green and covered hitting bays.
This championship par 72 course at the Kynzvart Spa was laid out in the classic "parkland" style. A significant part of it is located in the attractive environs of an English park. The course was designed with extraordinary sensitivity in harmony with the surrounding countryside and from a sporting viewpoint as well, we're convinced the design is a superior piece of work which will challenge golf enthusiasts and players of all levels.
Kynzvart Castle, originally built at the end of the 17th century for Phillip Emerich of Metternich and later transformed into the Viennese Classicist style, is a globally recognized object of historical interest. As part of reconstruction in the first half of the 19th century, the area around the castle was landscaped as an expansive English park by the Viennese Royal Gardner Riedl. With a total area of almost 300 hectares, it is one of the largest and most highly valued natural parks in the country.
This unique location integrated into the Slavkov Forest conservation area forms a singular alliance of nature and history. Its original natural setting separates this championship 18-hole course, with the largest driving range in the Czech Republic, from almost any other course in the country. We're sure that the genius loci of the course will bring golfers much more than an ordinary game.
