Black Stork Golf Resort
Black Stork Golf Resort - Lomnicky Golf Club was found on May, 16, 1999. The club is
located beside the area of Black Stork. In the first year of its existence the club focused on
training of juniors who represented our club in the Slovak Championship of Juniors in August 1999 in
Košice. The first season was finished by the closing autumn tournament on October, 31, 1999.
In April 2000 we started construction of the nature golf course with 9 holes which was opened on the
22nd September 2000.
The golf area Veľká Lomnica is situated at the foot of the High Tatras, between Veľká
Lomnica and Tatranská Lomnica. The golf tradition below the Tatras has existed since 1906.
Since 2005 the new nine-hole course has been part of the newly built 27-hole resort. The whole surface
will spread on 120 hectares.
This club has the largest indoor tee in Slovakia which is a rarity. It is 350 m long and will satisfy
even the most demanding golf players. The winner of the opening tournament was Peter Jurko. Since
2002 there have been organized championships in the discipline of holes, women started to play the
discipline one year later. Long – term competition is a nomination for the discipline EKLEKTIK
every year.
